We are fighting against COVID-19
The many changes in your communities and homes related to COVID-19 can be unsettling, especially when caregivers come into your home. Haven Healthcare is committed to keeping you safe. We take pride in presenting a personalized approach to patient care. Since 2011, we have helped the people in our community to recover from sickness and avoid becoming sick again. To some extent, with the spread of the COVID-19 virus, nothing has changed for us. We are still prepared to help our community deal with sickness and avoid becoming sick again.
Home healthcare, like the care Haven Home Health and 417 Home Care provide, are essential in this time. Our expertly trained staff can safely come into your home and help you manage your health. We are working to help people stay at home and reduce the risk of virus spread.
We have taken extra precautions, in accordance with recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to continue to safeguard the health of our employees and clients at this time:
Haven has immediately repeated training of all field staff to specifically address COVID-19 infection prevention practices.
All staff have been asked to limit face-to-face interactions with other employees as much as possible. Haven is limiting non-essential visits to facilities. Our staff will be checking in and available via phone and email to ensure smooth discharges and/or care for our shared patients. Meetings are being moved to conference call where possible.
We have implemented daily screenings of all staff and clients for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and illnesses with similar symptoms.
Any staff showing signs or symptoms associated with COVID-19, or illnesses with similar symptoms will be directed to return home immediately. These staff members will be asked to provide a physician’s note, clearing them to return to their scheduled shifts before being allowed back on the job.
All field staff have access to and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where appropriate.
Haven is continuing to educate both staff and clients on the management and prevention of the COVID-19 virus as information becomes available.
Haven leadership is in almost daily discussions with Missouri Department of Health experts to guide our actions and prepare us to respond when situations change. We are fully prepared to take additional steps to keep our clients and employees safe as they become necessary.
